 A METHODOLOGY IN SOFT SKILLS

It shall be a privilege to any one not to miss the speech of our Honorable President, Sri. Y.N.Sastry, of AIRRF who reflects the day to day happenings and the qualities one shall have to become a thorough leader and how to lead any Organization. Some of the guide lines reciprocated as guide lines in the matter is found to be worth to note and follow in day to day life also. Such a qualitative and quantitative methodology has been reflected in his speech on 02-10-2011 while addressing the members at Seethafalmandi Branch meeting. He exhorted to have the following matters in mind before you just start the speech:
Thorough knowledge in the subject matter; to talk with authenticity and to be in readiness to produce documents, proof of their claim, and/or on reference; not to ponder upon loose talk or rumors or hear say; to know about the matter, problem, demand which you may ask for from the admn. or the govt.; be in readiness to analyze with record of proof; basics and balances from previous, present system of account; the matter shall be specific, precise, and to the point giving very clear position to any person; be in a position to give proper suggestion and via media solution, etc.
The most favored skill in the leadership is to have the ability and understanding the subject matter in precise, rehearse the same with creativity and correctness  to express in clear terms, convey the ideas to the audience in most simple and easy language. The Speaker shall also to realize that his voice, pronunciation, facial expressions, formulation of the sentence and the words stress at the appropriate places of speech, taking pause in between the speech as some of the valuable accreditations.
These are some of the tips to be kept in mind to become a good speaker and then follow the suit for automatic up gradation/promotion leadership which itself gives quite a lot of positive chances to take the berth as a good leader. In real sense one should learn to develop and build up ‘self confidence’ through ‘Motivation’. Though the impact of high motivation is well known, it has been found that a vast portion of the capabilities of employees in an organization is severely underutilized. If businesses or individuals want greater success, then the answer resides within the ability to improve motivation, improve the use of energy and to improve talent. This is more important in building up ‘Leadership Qualities’. Yet, almost every time, the emphasis is on the technical or the hard skills with little or no focus on the soft skills:
Always make a habit for continuous learning and ‘know how’ on your subject matters with special emphasis on the inter-relationship on the emotions, decision making qualities, reasoning the problem, quick and prompt attendance and time control, knowing about behavioral sciences, learn to change yourself to suit to the occasions, and about other’s psychology. Try to inculcate ‘Positive Aspects’. Your ‘ideas’ exposed/expressed shall not be ‘weighted’ and not a ‘wastage’ to the Organization. They shall be impartial by all means, let your interests does not ‘plug-in’.
‘Speak-Out practice’ with voice control and command in darkness feeling that you are addressing a large number of persons in a public meeting or in a conference hall; always try to inculcate the ‘qualities of penetration of culture’ in you. Always come forward to be ‘the Team-Leader’. Make a habit in the ‘Awareness and Changing Mindset’ programs. Keep your self busy with the latest news, matters and about the intelligence on your subjects for ‘Leadership Development Qualities’.
 Keep in mind, ‘not to criticize the other party openly’ and ‘with harsh words’; have/show patience, try to ‘Manage-Up and Manage-Down’ in the Organization. Let you become the ‘Most Inspired Leader’ of the day by learning/controlling ‘Emotional Intelligence’. Always try to live in ‘Practical Terms and Meanings’ without making ‘false/promises’ and the like to boost your leadership, if do not remove this type of ‘negative qualities’, in due course of time, you shall be ‘let – down only by yourself’.
Please remember-- the most important and not the least, always to exhibit that you have recognized other’s skills and appreciate them on one or the other way.
